The Abbey Espresso Bar and Café is West Belleville's most comfortable hot spot. A backdrop of weekly card games, chess matches, and Saturday morning music complements the best cup of joe east of the Mississippi. Some go so far as to say our coffee is the best east of the Rockies, but we suspect there may be a few barristas at higher altitudes and out-of-the-way places that to date remain unexplored.

Breakfast and lunch paninis, homemade soups, salads, breads, and new to the menu is our already famous Gelato- made daily in our kitchen by our very own Gelato Maestro.

We proudly feature Fair Trade coffees, teas, chocolates and crafts from around the globe. Historically known for our wide selection of gifts, baskets, and jewelry, we strive to maintain a wide selection of unique treasures and gifts for our customer's pleasure.

At 5:00 the lights dim, our chef cranks up the grill, and smooth jazz (often live) fills the air. It's the perfect setting for romance, or just relaxing, sharing food platters, and having a few drinks.
